Listen and you can learn soooo much

This week on Wednesday we celebrated a VERY SPECIAL birthday.  Brent's great-grandma and Bailey's Great-Great Grandma, Ruby Smith turned 104 years old.  She is currently residing in a nursing home in Temple and is still continuing to enjoy all the activities they have daily and helping other residents.  I for one can say she is one of the most interesting people I have ever met.  She is one of just a few (maybe 3) living Daughters of the Confederacy.  She has some of the most amazing stories to tell and they are ones you can never hear enough.  She is inspirational to me in the faith she carries and lives her life by.  She sure could teach us all a little more about our faith in Christ.  It is truly amazing to me every day that Bailey has someone like that in her life, and knows who she is.  We have shown Bailey pictures since she was tiny and she has one that hangs in her room.  We go through them all the time so she has learned who Ma-Ma is and loves her just as she loves all her grandmas.  She is a very importmant person in Brent's life and sometimes I wonder about the person he might be if not for Ma-Ma.  She is so influential in things he does and he is constantly telling me, "oh Ma-Ma used to teach me that."  Its so wonderful that we could be there to celebrate this special day with her.
Bailey now knows "Happy Birthday" and sang it to Ma-Ma, it was soooo cute.
